Colle Cidneo hill is now a wooded park and shadows the oldest part of the town. This was the site of the earliest settlement which dates back to the Bronze Age. On the summit is the town's Castello - a castle built on Roman foundations which not houses weapons museums of the Italian Risorgimento.
